  • As a class, make a list of essays from which you can choose to write your midterm paper about (chapters 1 and 2). Also, identify the possible writing prompts, which appear in the WRITING ASSIGNMENTS sections of chapters 1 and 2. Next, discuss in small groups which readings and which writing assignment prompts would be easiest to respond to.
  • Homework: Read Charity Means You Don't Pick and Choose, pp. 59-61. Read and consider both SUGGESTIONS sections, pp. 61-62. Also, choose which question prompts (i.e., writing assignment) you want to answer for your midterm paper. We will be working on your outline in class next week.
