Weekly homework
You are required to complete weekly listening homework for each segment of our movies. To get full credit, you must complete the homework before we watch the segment in class. See the schedule for more information.
Weekly oral practice
Each week, you are required to record at least two minutes of oral comments. Ideally, it is best if your comments are somewhat spontaneous and made without the help of written notes. However, it is OK if you wish to write out your comments first, but please do not read something written by somebody else, such as something you find on-line.
Submit your comments either by adding them to a Moodle discussion or by using the form to send them via Email.
For a number of reasons, it is best if you can put your comments on Moodle. Firstly, you can view and edit your comments. Secondly, others can listen to your comments and respond. Thirdly, it's just more fun. Some students are very anxious to find out if their instructor 'got their homework' when they send things by Email. If you are this sort of person, please use Moodle so that you can see that your homework was posted. The instructor receives anywhere from 300-400 homework messages a week, so a confirmation Email that your homework was received is not possible.
